Finally, I started to write down something for this trip.
2011 London World Travel Market, we were Taiwan team!
I was one of the performance people for calligraphy and stamp carving
which stands for a static performance.
Before starting this trip, let me explain how it strated by words.
During July 2011, I got an e-mail that asked for the process of stamp carving
and also invited me to join their activity. It was a very easy mail with only
three row of words, and "Thank you" was the last row. No any information inside.
I even didn't know which unit or what avtivity, and he just asked me to provide
my phone number for communication. However, it rised my curiosity and I gave my
number to the person. Soon, I got a call form Ffion...
"How much time you need to carve a stamp?"
(thinking) Maybe one hour at least.
"That was too long. Could you do it within 10 mins?"
(10 mins!!?) It really depends. If it is a circle I may need only 1 min.
"Why don't you try to carve your name within 10 mins
now and see how much time you take?"
(What kind of activity will need me to carve stamps so fast?)
I still remembered the first time when Ffion called, because I had many many
questions that time. But I couldn't remember the detail we talked on the phine,
just remembered that I heard "Paris, London, for 9 days"! And I only had
"really? it's true or not true? untrue or ture?" in my head. After hang up the phone,
I called my Mom, my boyfriend and my editor to tell them this exciting news,
and they all asked me the same question: is this a trick?
Anyway, it just started like this.
From the time I got the call to the day we need to go, actually I didn't talk to
Ffion many times and we never meet each other. I believe that was because
I was too busy so I just followed her, if she need my passport then I sent it,
what she need I will follow and do it, until the departure day. I was too casual
that even I don't know the whole schedule or who will with us together when
the time for departure. And then I showed up as promised at the office of
Taiwan Visitors Association, took a short doze and then went to airport
in the early morning.
Day 1.
Ffion
